Four United Tile showrooms (Seattle, Everett, Portland and Bend) serve the design community and public through our professional, knowledgeable and helpful design staff.  We were recently named the "Best Professional Design Center" by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland.

United Tile is expanding its sales borders and needs your help.   Qualified applicants will be our local representative who would head up specification efforts, work with designers and architects, and also be the lead person for our future showroom. 

Job Description:
The Specifications Representative is United Tile’s primary contact with the architectural and design community as well as companies directly related to the construction business, and is responsible for assisting all sales and marketing activities associated with this customer base. The Specifications Representative is responsible for: (A) capitalizing on the full potential represented by building projects and the architectural / design community and (B) creatively seeking out and developing other profitable business opportunities where tile products may be specified and sold.

Responsibilities for this rewarding career opportunity include:

• Develop an understanding of the business potential within each firm

• Develop presentation materials that reflect the needs of the customer, and demonstrate our responsiveness to their business as appropriate

• Develop new business opportunities by keeping aware of new firms, projects, companies involved with tile products, etc.

• Maintain literature and catalogs for customer base and project development

• Maintain and prepare samples for projects, submittals, and customer libraries, working closely with architectural and contractor representatives.
  Showroom Lead

• Work with customers, contractors and vendors in planning and product selection utilizing the wholesale distribution model, often with multiple customers at a time

• Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions

• Work with design staff and marketing department to keep our products presented and merchandised in a creative, customer friendly system through various sampling and display efforts

• Work with design staff to continually improve showroom sample department by ordering replacement material and organizing delivered sample material

• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiating skills

Education:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree

Experience: 

• Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred.

• Wholesale distribution experience preferred.

• Education can be substituted for experience.
