As the name implies, each piece of Artisan tile has the feel of a unique, handcrafted piece of artwork. From geometric to organic, the designs embody a timeless, old-world style and rich attention to detail.
Artisan glazes are applied by hand, creating beautiful variations in color and tone. The palette ranges from soft, subtle hues to saturated, rustic colors in crackle, matte and hand-painted finishes. Artisan carvings and field shapes are also available in the Stellar color palette, resulting in nearly 100 fabulous colors from which to choose.

Technical Characteristics
|
Suitability - Sonoma tiles are classified as Wall Tile, or Specialty Art Tile. Not all finishes have been rated for specific uses such as: Floors, Countertops, Wet Areas. However, the MATTE Artisan glazes have a high resistance to abrasion and are okay on counter tops, floors, and all other areas mentioned.

Sealing - The Artisan series is made from a semi-absorbent clay body. Although a top coat of glaze prevents some absorbtion, the body of the tile can be expected to absorb moisture elsewhere. Therefore, all Crackle glazed tiles MUST be sealed.

Variation - Due to the nature of fired clay products, variation in size, color and shade may occur.
